The flavour of this bruschetta is very subtle compared to others in our range, which allows this bruschetta to be a perfect supporter of strong flavoured toppings, such as tomato, Parma ham, gorgonzola and nuts.
Olive Oil is a key ingredient used in the Mediterranean for cooking and dipping. There are various types of oils such as Extra Virgin, Virgin or Refined Olive Oil. Our Olive Oil bruschetta contains 4.6% of Extra Virgin Olive Oil and 7.7% Olive Oil, which provides a perfect balance and gives our bruschetta a light taste without becoming overpowering.
The olives used are pressed to make the oil and are generally grown and produced in Italy, Spain and Greece. The flavour of the olives varies depending on the climate, soil and how they are harvested and pressed. The hotter the country’s climate is, the stronger the flavour of the oil.
Our bruschetta is made from long golden loaves of bread that are cut into slices and then they are spread out for the roasting process to happen.
A bruschetta is traditionally used as a base for a canape. Well-known flavours are tomato and salmon; however a canape can be anything from tuna to avocado.
Other ways we feel you can use our bruschetta is like a giant crouton. You can pop a few on top of your soup for lunch and watch them soak up the flavours of your soup.
A more diverse way of using our bruschetta is to break it up into crumbs and use as a topping for a fish pie. This would give your pie a nice crunchy topping which compliments the juiciness of the fish and sauce below.
