This pasta is made with hemp which has no connections to any animal origins. Hemp is an unusual ingredient in which is found in the Piedmont region. It has been grown by people in the region for many generations and is used in various ways. It is known to be used for clothing, animal feed and for us to eat. The seed is turned into flour, which is rich in fibres, amino acids and has a high content of protein. It also contains an important fatty acid, omega 3. This is key to reducing cardiovascular disease. The hemp is also gluten free.
